It was the second PBA title for Jacques, who posted an impressive 21-3 match play record and led the field by 542 pins after 42 games. Against Webb, Jacques started with five straight strikes, while Webb failed to strike until the ninth frame. It was the second time in three years Webb finished second in this event.
